To The 2026 Baxy Invitational
The Baxy Invitational was created to bring together a close group of friends for a fun and competitive golf tournament. As the tournament grows, maintaining a random partner draw is the best way to replicate the atmosphere of the original tournament and to create a strong dynamic with new people. Here's to birdies, cold beers, good drinks, old friends, new friends, and legendary memories to be made.
Our goal is to enhance the overall experience of the Baxy Invitational year after year. While the core group of attendees act as the foundation of the tournament, the new invitees will provide an opportunity to expand networks, make new friendships, and create memories. The location of the tournament will change every year, and with the expansion of the tournament, destination locations are becoming a viable future option. We began this tournament with the intention to get a tight-knit group of people away for a weekend for old-time’s sake, and that remains a defining purpose of the invitational. With the expansion of the tournament and the continuous interest from possible invitees, the tournament has become a great opportunity to raise money for charities or specific meaningful purposes.

Welcome to the 12th Annual Baxy Invitational Golf Tournament taking place on June 19th & 20th in Invermere, British Columbia.
The 2026 tournament will be benefiting Peaks to Pines Residents Association which is a Seniors Housing organization in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. The tournament will also be raising money for the Katy Welter Trust Fund.
FRIDAY, JUNE 18TH rounds starting at 12:00 PM
SATURDAY, JUNE 19TH rounds starting at 11:40 AM – Dinner/Prizes at Completion of Tournament
For those new to this tournament, we randomly pick partners once registration is complete. For $500 you have the option to pick your partner, this money goes directly towards our charity donation total. Partners must already be invited and playing in the tournament.
The tournament format is a modified team stroke play. During each round, you and your partner must use your scores a minimum of 6 holes each and declare after each hole. After the 2 rounds the team with the lowest aggregate score wins. Example (Day 1: 72 + Day 2: 74 = 146). This format allows teams to stay fairly even, and the opportunity to play with new people.
There is a handicap system in place for teams which is reviewed after the famous partner draw. (High Handicaps Subject to Audit): We have introduced a special fundraiser of $500 per partnership or $250 each to pick your partner. Partners must already be invited and playing in the tournament.

This year the Baxy Invitational is proud to announce that the proceeds and fundraising efforts will be benefiting Peaks to Pines Residents Association. This charity was decided on by the 2025 tournament champions Logan Wakaluk and Nathan Sekura.
Our objective:Through volunteer efforts and fundraising, we strive to support and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Peaks to Pines Lodge. Seniors are empowered, with care, respect and kindness, to prolong their independence and community connections.
